Emory Alliance CU offers a Wire Service that is fast, safe and affordable.
The Wire Service allows you to:
Send money (outgoing wire) from your Emory Alliance CU account to any financial institution in the United States (domestic) or any foreign bank (international), as permitted by law.

What is a wire transfer?
A wire transfer is an electronic payment service for transferring funds by wire.
What is a FUNDS/WIRE TRANSFER AGREEMENT?
This form is required by the credit union if you plan to conduct any wire transfers. It must be completed in-person, by the account holder, at any of our branches. Once completed, this form will remain on file and you will be able to request a wire transfer by phone, FAX, or secure e-mail within Personal Branch. Stop by one of our branch locations to complete it today.
How do I send a wire transfer?
To send a wire transfer, please visit one of our branch locations to complete a Wire Transfer Request Form. To protect you and your account from fraud, we cannot accept wire instructions through phone, email or fax because your signature is required, unless you have already completed the Wire Transfer Agreement.
How do I send a domestic wire (U.S. Bank)?
An outgoing wire transfer requires complete wiring instructions from the receiving institution which should include the name, address and the routing number of the financial institution the funds are being wired to. The recipient's name and account number are also required.
How do I send an international wire?
The procedures are very similar to a domestic wire transfer. All international wire transfers will be required to include IBAN or Swift Code to identify a beneficiary account. Utilizing the IBAN reduces the number of potential delays and errors when making an international wire transfer.

What is a Routing Transit Number (RTN)?
The routing transit number is a nine digit bank code, used in the United States, that identifies the financial institution. The Routing Transit Number for Emory Alliance Credit Union is 261172308. To wire money from the credit union to another financial institution, you will need this number in order for the other financial institution to process the wire.
What is a SWIFT Code?
The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) is an industry-owned co-operative supplying secure, standardized messaging services and interface software to nearly 8,100 financial institutions in 207 countries and territories. SWIFT members include banks, broker-dealers and investment managers. While not always required, a SWIFT Code number may be required by some banks for the completion of wire transfers.
The SWIFT code or IBAN is required for international wires only and will be provided to you by the bank originating the wire. The credit union will need to know this number from you in order to complete the wire.
What is an IBAN number?
The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is the international standard for identifying international bank accounts across national borders.
Can I use Personal Branch to request a Wire Transfer?
Yes. If you have completed the Wire Transfer Agreement, you may use Personal Branch to request a Wire Transfer. If the wire is below $3,000 you can sign up for the External Transfer Feature of Personal Branch, at no cost.
Can someone wire funds to my Emory Alliance Credit Union account?
